I unfortunately dont know the name of the consultant and nurse, I saw today for my first Gynaecology outpatient appointment. For someone who has C-PTSD partly due severe medical trauma (nothing to do with Sheffield hospitals- this is my first interaction with Sheffield teaching hospitals as I’m based in Derbyshire) they were genuinely the most phenomenal kind medical professionals I’ve ever come into contact with. I just want to thank them so much for making me feel listened to, validated and safe- especially as it’s such a tricky subject for me. Genuinely the best interaction I’ve had in a medical setting and really has restored my faith- I was so nervous and I just can’t thank them enough. Also super autism friendly as a neurodivergent adult, really clear communication and clarifying lots of points, they went out of their way to ensure I felt fully informed. Just thank you so so much- it truly meant the world.

I would like to say a huge thank you to all staff for my care from triage, Labour ward, theatres, HDU and postnatal ward. My birth was not at all what I expected or wanted but I really appreciate all the care I received. I’d like to say a special thank you to James, one of the anaesthetists involved in my emergency C-section on the 20th Aug. James did such an amazing job keeping me calm and helping me feel safe when I was very scared. I’d also like to thank Lorraine (agency midwife) who cared for us during labour and on the HDU. All the staff involved were incredible and all deserve a massive thank you from myself, my partner and baby Luca.

A huge thank you to you Halima for making the birth of our second baby such a positive experience. From our arrival on the ward to leaving with our little girl your continual kindness, care and good humour are something which we will remember. Thank you for taking time to listen to our concerns and wishes - your support in theatre made a huge difference and directly contributed to a brilliant birth experience. We're very thankful you were part of our care team :)

Thank you to you Jai for your part in making the birth of our second baby a really positive experience. After challenges with the birth of my first baby I was apprehensive about my recovery and hospital stay this time round. However your kindness, care and positivity during the night shift made a huge difference to what has been a very positive experience. Knowing I was in your care left me feeling supported and safe - I felt that I could have asked for anything I needed and even in the early hours it was lovely to see your friendly face pop round the curtain! Thank you for being such a fantastic part of our care team :)

Opthalmology clinic - I cannot speak highly enough about the team who took care of me from moment 1 to when I was discharged. I have no doubt that your positive energy as well as your surgical and caring skills have all contributed to my speedy and trouble free recovery. Thank you all, especially Irina, who did the actual micro surgery. It blows my mind when I think about what I had done to me, but thank God for you all!

My wife was brought in today for brain surgery. The aforementioned in particular on TAU were absolutely first rate. So I credibly kind and vigilant, and happy to answer questions and reassure us. Thank you so much, you are both an absolute credit to your hospital and profession.
