Jacob saw me in the eye emergency centre today and was really kind. As well as the tablets I needed he also spotted I had dry eyes and prescribed some drops that are really helping already. Thank you sir!
May Stevens

This is feedback to May Stevens for the ante-natal class delivered in the parent craft room. She was so welcoming and knowledgeable and really reassured myself and my partner for labour, birth and post birth. She was able to answer all questions and showed us a labour suite which was really useful.

Thank you Blessing for being so kind and making us feel calm about the procedure our daughter was having. It was lovely to meet you
Sarah

Sarah, who undertook the EEG for my profoundly deaf friend, was very caring and communicated so well, speaking clearly so she could lip read. Full of compassion when she had 2 seizures during the procedure. Totally excellent approach in direct contrast to her treatment at another hospital where compassion and helpfulness totally absent. She was seen as a burden and as thick rather than the intelligent, lovely young woman she is. Thank you so much, Sarah, you went beyond our expectations

From the reception to the consultant, Mr Watson, my son, Lewis, was spoken to with compassion and respect. Everyone was smiley, introduced themselves and talked us through everything. Lewis felt in safe hands before, during and after surgery. Thank you so much. Maggie, Lew’s Mum 😊
Mr Sachin Salvi Ocular Oncology
22-05-2025
Just a quick thank you to Mr. Salvi and his team in the ocular oncology department at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital. They were all pleasant and professional and I felt in very safe hands. At the end of the assessment process, Mr Salvi was able to reassure me that there was nothing sinister about a smaller regularity in my left eye, and, thank goodness, that it was not a melanoma! I was enormously relieved by the news and I hope they all realise what a tremendous impact they have on people and their lives. The NHS, at the top of its game! Thank you so much. JIM K (seen on 22nd of May).

The Anaesthetist and ODP
21-05-2025
For the TAU (unit 5) As an NHS worker myself I know we can often forget that we are dealing with individuals who are all different and as such we may be prone to dealing with patients as tasks rather than people who all bring with them a variety of experiences good and bad. At 50 years old and numerous procedure and anaesthetics this was by far the best. All staff were polite, efficient and friendly but I’d like to particularly thank the female ODP and young man who was my anaesthetist who were particularly kind and friendly and made the whole experience less daunting.
Twiggy, ‘Margot Robbie’ and the whole team

Thank you all so so much for caring for Abi before, during and after her tonsillectomy yesterday. You made her feel really reassured throughout the whole day, coped with her slightly crazy post-anaesthetic crying and took time to understand her pain-threshold scoring 😉 As her Mum, I am so thankful to everyone who checked in and supported us throughout the long day and with a view of helping us leave with enough time to make it all the way home. We are both incredibly grateful.
