Carrie is always smiling, and has a beautiful personality. Carrie is without doubt a huge part of the cancer clinic making people feel welcome and relaxed in what can be a daunting visit. Where would we be without people like her.

I had my baby on 16th March and had the most wonderful experience with Kate and Donna. It was a long and difficult labour for me and they were beyond supportive and encouraging. Donna gave me all the pep talks exactly when I needed them and Kate was just brilliant the whole time. I wanted to say thank you. which will never feel like enough for delivering my baby into the world and making me feel like I could carry on when I was exhausted. We will never forget the care and support the team gave us.

MacMillan Cancer Unit Georgina the receptionist always has a smile and time for each patient. She knows patients on first name terms which is very nice. Meeting Georgina on reception puts your mind at ease. She is a credit to the Cancer Unit. Thank you Georgina for being yourself and doing an excellent job.

I must thank you for everything you have done for my treatment today and for sort out the physiotherapist appointment. It means a lot to mean when a person goes out their way to see my treatment plan is in place.

I would like to thank Daniel for a very positive experience when having my lung function test today 14.3.25 at 2pm. Daniel was caring, encouraging and had such a lovely manner throughout the test. Having a lung condition, the test is not pleasant however Daniel made the whole experience pleasant and easy to complete. Daniel is the sort of person everyone would want to be seen by when attending he hospital. If he could have some recognition I would appreciate it. He is a natural when putting someone at ease. He was professional and efficient. Thank you Daniel.

I was extremely impressed with the care and attention shown after I experienced severe pain after a knee replacement operation. Mr Bhamber and Mr Jadhav were excellent and very kind, saw me at short notice in the clinic and they couldn’t have done more to reassure and investigate what the problem was. Please also pass on my grateful thanks to the CT team for fitting me in at short notice. Terry Millins

Absolutely amazing staff - all of them. Made me feel so much less anxious about my procedures and so caring and kind. The ward and rooms etc were all beautifully clean and well looked after as well. A massive thank you

Ward 9, postnatal ward. I just wanted to say a massive thank you to one of the midwives, Katie, who was on duty the day we discharged from the ward 9 (Saturday 18th January 2025) following the birth of my son. Katie was one of two midwives on duty that day so already they were stretched managing a busy ward. We were due to be discharged that day but had missed the Paediatrician on their rounds that day, so we're unable to be discharged until we had seen someone. Due to this it was looking likely that we'd have to spend another night on ward 9 which I was reluctant to do. Mainly due to a upsetting experience on the ward 4 years ago during the birth of my first child. Katie went out of her way to try and locate a Paediatrician from the other wards, to allow us to go home that evening. We could see just how busy she and the team were but that did not stop her from trying to help us so we could get home. Katie, I know we were absolute nags that day but we just wanted to say a massive thank you for everything you did for us, to ensure we could be seen and get home that evening which we did. All thanks to you! We know the pressure maternity services are under at present. But we had a great experience and felt cared for by the staff during our time in hospital, despite the incredible pressure they are under. Thank you.
